Auto Express' rendering of the next small Jaguar
We’ve heard on the grapevine that the Jaguar board has signed off a new-age X-TYPE-replacing model. Given the current resurgence of Jaguar, underpinned by the success of the XF and new XJ, the arrival of a new entry level model will prove a useful fillip.

Talk of the ‘failure’ of the X-TYPE should be swept aside, as clearly this would be a case of the right product at the right time – and many commentators blame the original car’s disappointing sales Stateside being down to the car’s overtly retro styling…

According to Auto Express, Tata Motors’ Chief Executive, Carl-Peter Forster, has acknowledged that Jaguar needs a smaller, higher-volume vehicle. The new car is already under development and, according to Jaguar insiders, we can finally put paid to the rumours that a smaller car would carry the Rover name – such an exhumation is not even on the agenda.

Jaguar is reportedly working on a new modular aluminium platform that would be shared between the new smaller car, the mid-sized XF and the next-generation XK. In renderings posted by Auto Express at least, it’s clear that the baby Jaguar will continue the family theme instigated by the XF – as well as sharing themes with other X250 proposals.

Nikoli jaguár ale Tataratata motor India. Použít slovo Jaguar je v tomto případě trochu zavádějící.

Bude se jmenovat Rover Onano, bude mít motor V6 a vypadat takto.

Píšou "malé-vysokobjemový auto",ale neboj se, na ten motor co máš ty nemaj tataratatáci licenci, ta je čajně.

Není to možný ... je mi líto, že vás zklamu, ale je to tak. Viz. dále.

Překlad: ... podle zasvěcených zdrojů uvnitř Jaguaru můžeme definitivně skoncovat s fámou, že menší model ponese jméno Rover. Tato možnost není ani v jednání.

Jinak na tom obrázku v článku je jen ilustrace publikovaná časopisem Auto Express, který zjistil, že u Jaguaru pracují na menším modelu. Tohle je tedy jejich vize, jak by to mohlo vypadat (podle mě jen udělali kombinaci XF a XJ). Mělo by jít o náhradu nepříliš úspěšného modelu X-Type.

Jojo Ondra má pravdu. Musím přiznat že jsem to při prvním čtení pochopil blbě, ale je to tak jak píše Ondra.
